Ali Ashrafzadeh, MD, FACR
Dr. Ash, as he is affectionately known to his patients and his colleagues, was trained in internal medicine at the NY Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and completed his fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Arizona. He previously practiced at Pacific Arthritis from 2003 until 2008.
Realizing a great need for new therapeutics in rheumatology, he took a research sabbatical, where he worked on the development of new therapies for rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and idiopathic membranous nephropathy. Currently, Dr. Ash continues to do clinical research; however, he returned in 2011 to Pacific Arthritis and his passion of seeing and taking care of his patients.
