Ultrasound

Doctor conducting ultrasound examination of knee joint in child closeup.

Musculoskeletal ultrasound can help guide injections for some tendons and ligaments. It is also used to visualize joints to aid more accurate injections into the joint space. Ultrasound can be used to diagnose things like rotator cuff tears, tendon, muscle, or ligament tears, nerve entrapment and to evaluate joints for inflammation and other signs of disease.
